Mess! Oh, yes!
30 December 2006Someone recently drew my attention to this blog post, referring to this NY Times article on the delights of a messy desk and “closet” (which is USian for wardrobe). Messy people are more creative, have more agile minds, and earn higher salaries than their tidy-minded friends and colleagues. With the exception of a higher salary […]
The last WOTD before Christmas….
21 December 2006is a meta-site linking to lots of other sites giving useful information about the history and traditions of Christmas. Essential reading. It’s all there at Christmas in Cyberspace.
Tip that reindeer!
20 December 2006Another Christmas-themed website of the day today. Reindeer Tipping is a neat little Flash game where you have to, er, tip reindeer. That’s “tip” as in tip them over (like cow-tipping), not as in giving them extra money at the end of the meal for good service. See how many you can tip.
Know your movies?
20 December 2006Another belated website of the day posting (I had a network problem yesterday which stopped me making the article live at the same time as it was going out on air), but better late than never. If you want a few minutes of fun and you like films, then Viking - the stationery people - […]
An afternoon at the panto…
19 December 2006One of the benefits of working for a radio station is that we get nice freebies every now and then. Yesterday, we all took the afternoon off work and wandered round to the theatre where we had free tickets to Aladdin. And not just tickets to the show, but a VIP room beforehand and during […]
Last minute Christmas shopping?
15 December 2006This was yesterday’s website of the day, but I forgot to press the “save” button before closing the browser.
Anyway, if you want some inspiration for a last-minute present, particularly for the geek in your life, then check out Pointless But Cool. It’s full of stuff that’s pointless, but, er cool. It’s great!
The PersonalDNA thing
14 December 2006This appears to be doing the rounds of various blogs and social networking sites. This is me:

Letter to Sky
14 December 2006I was supposed to be getting Sky+ installed today. It didn’t happen. Sky’s customer support has been useless. Here’s a letter I wrote to complain:
Dear Sir,
I am writing to you in connection with my order for Sky+ and Multiroom, which was due to have been installed today (14 December 2006), job reference xxxxxx. So […]
Websites du jour…
14 December 2006I didn’t get round to posting the website of the day in the blog for the past two days, for a variety of reasons but mostly a lack of circular tuits. So, for anyone who was wondering where they were, the ones you’ve missed were:
Tuesday - www.cowsgomoo.co.uk
Wednesday - www.joyofcakes.com
Spot the difference
6 December 2006Today’s website of the day is a nice simple game of Spot The Difference. Just look at the images and, er, spot the differences. Something for a dull lunch beak at work.
